FOUNDER PROFILE

Rob Sullivan is the President and Managing Partner of Alert Venture Foundry (AVF), a technology start-up studio. With over 30 years of experience in robotics, automation, and innovation, Rob is dedicated to incubating early-stage technology companies at AVF, helping them achieve growth and success through strategic guidance and operational expertise. 

Before founding Alert Venture Foundry, Rob served as CEO of RoboEdge Advisors LLC, where he provided tailored strategies in robotics and automation. Prior to RoboEdge, he held the roles of General Manager and Senior Vice President of Brooks Automation, CEO of AutoGuide Mobile Robots, and President of Symbotic.  

Rob’s work has spanned industries such as Semiconductor Manufacturing, Warehouse Automation, Automotive Automation, Laboratory Automation, and AI-driven Industrial Robotics. His leadership and technical contributions have earned him over 100 U.S. patents. 

Rob holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Engineering Management, both from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. He resides in Massachusetts, where he continues to drive growth in the technology ecosystem.
